It has been a both a blessing and a curse to have the last name, Forget (For-jzay). We use the tag, The Name You Won’t…Forget because we want you to “remember” us. We want you to remember the level of our service. We want you to remember that we are YOUR source for everything real estate.

The surname Forget really is our last name. Our father is a hot blooded french Canadian who was born in northern Ontario, in a town that no longer exists. It was called Lowther. It was a town that was home of a NORAD base until the mid-1980s. When NORAD shut down…so did the town. We used to like saying that Lowther was so small that the “you are leaving Lowther” sign was on the other side of the “Welcome to Lowther” sign. Today it would be considered a part of Kapuskasing. It is a long way from the Greater Toronto area but not as long as Helsinki, Finland, where our mother was born and raised. How on earth did they ever meet? That… is a story for another time.

You can imagine how a surname like Forget went down in grade school. You surely didn’t want to forget something because the sentence, “did you forget something Forget?” would inevitably be uttered. Even though our last name is quite common in Quebec it is still an anomaly in the Greater Toronto Region.  For this reason almost every conversation on the phone, with someone who does not know us (shame), goes like this. “My last name is Forget spelled like the word forget F-O-R-G-E-T…my last name is Forget spelled like the word forget F-O-R-G-E-T…my last name is Forget spelled like the word forget F-O-R-G-E-T” ad infinitum.

We have grown to  love our last name. We embrace it. We are FORGET, we are proud of our name, we are proud of the service we provide and we are proud of the way we conduct our business with dignity. We are the name you won’t…FORGET!
